A Journey into Trust and Safety through the Element of Water
In the sacred season of pregnancy, we are invited to surrender to the powerful tides of transformation. Within the framework of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the Water element represents our deepest essence - the wellspring of life, wisdom, and potential. It is associated with the kidneys, the home of our ancestral energy, and the emotion of fear. But Water is not static; it moves, flows, adapts. When balanced, Water transforms fear into trust - trust in our bodies, our babies, and the unfolding path of pregnancy, birth and motherhood.
This day is a ceremonial return to the Inner Ocean, the vast, intuitive space within where life begins. We cultivate connection to our deep inner knowing, releasing unconscious tension and welcoming the guidance of our own inner wisdom.
What To Expect On The Day
Pregnancy Flow & Embodied Movement
We’ll begin with slow, gentle movement to help you connect to your changing body and the baby growing within. These flowing, wave-like motions are designed to release tension, especially in the hips, spine, and pelvis, and to bring ease into areas that hold fear or uncertainty. This is time for you to land in your body, breathe deeply, and find a sense of rhythm and trust in the changes you're moving through.
🥁 Drum Journey
After movement, we’ll lie down and be guided by the steady beat of the drum, a sound that helps quiet the mind and opens space for inner connection. In this relaxed state, you may sense or imagine your baby, feel a shift in your awareness, or connect with deeper parts of yourself. This is about listening to what’s already within, including your relationship with your baby and your own intuitive wisdom.
🎨 A Crafting Ritual
After the drum journey, we’ll move into a quiet, creative space. You’ll be invited to draw or express the sense of your baby that came through during the journey, how they appeared to you, felt to you, or what they symbolised.
🌬️ Sound, Voice & Breathwork
We’ll use sound - from crystal bowls, harmonium, gentle mantra, and breath, to support your nervous system and help you soften further. These vibrations move through the body in a soothing way, helping to release lingering tension and build a sense of inner calm. It’s a practice of settling, trusting, and allowing yourself to be held by the breath, the sound, and the moment.
✍️ Journaling Practice
To wrap up the deeper inner work, you’ll have time to write. Whether it’s reflections from the journey, sensations from your body, or thoughts about your baby and motherhood, this is space to let it land on the page in your own words.
🍇 Nourishment & Integration
We’ll end the day with warm tea and light, grounding snacks, time to gently return to the present, connect with others, or simply rest in the quiet after a full, nourishing experience.
