Rattle Making Workshop

In this 2-part workshop you will create your own shamanic Rattle. The workshop will be accompanied by a meditation to connect you to the animal spirit that is used for your rattle.

Workshop is taking place on Friday April 4th from 10am-12pm and Friday April 11th from 10-11am at Ethical Weigh. Unit 3C1, Benbow Industrial Estate, Eglinton, Derry, BT47 3DW.

You are going to make your own unique Shamanic Rattle.

We will craft together in community.

Meet your workshop Facilitator

Claudia Keller

I am a special needs care professional, shamanic frame drum builder, and drumming workshop facilitator based in Northern Ireland. Originally from Germany, I bring a unique cultural perspective to my work, blending compassion, creativity, and spirituality to support individuals and build community.

Through my frame drum building and drumming workshops, I create safe, welcoming spaces for people to connect with themselves and each other. These sessions are rooted in ancient traditions and offer participants a path to healing, rhythm, and self-expression.

In my personal life, I am blessed to live alongside my daughter and two grandsons, whose joy and energy inspire me daily. Together, we are rooted in the beautiful landscape of Northern Ireland, which continuously enriches my life and work.

A few words from Claudia about the materials:

  • All the hides are from local animals, the goats and cows are from Broughgammon farm in Ballycastle. the deer and red stag Are from Omagh and the sheep is from Newry.

  • Before I work with the skin I connect myself with the universe and ask for Permission For the dehairing process. My Work humbles me and my aim is to bring this love back into the hides.

  • The Hides are not chemical treated. I only work with hard wood ash. I truly believe that this sacred process is honouring the animals life and the spirit of the animal is coming back to life in the Rattles.
